Hello!
My name is Louise, and I am a lifelong dog lover and the proud owner of The Lavender Labrador.
After building a 10 year career as an Ecological Consultant, in 2021 I decided to follow my true passion of working with dogs. I then went on to obtain my City and Guilds qualification in dog grooming and the rest is history!
I named my business after my faithful black Labrador, Oban, and the lavender herb, which has long been associated with peace, love and happiness.
'Lavender' comes from the Latin word 'lavare', meaning 'to wash'. I thought this name perfectly captured my ethos; a calm soothing place where your dog will be well looked after and come out smelling fresh!
Along with my Head of Barketing, Oban, who is the face of my business, I also have my suPAWvisor, Maggie the pug cross. Maggie's main role is Chief Treat Taster and general mischief maker!
Along with my City and Guilds qualification, I am canine first aid certified and hold Public Liability Insurance.
I understand all dogs are unique, that is why it is so important to me that your dog is happy and comfortable while they are at the studio.
The Lavender Labrador is a private home based dog grooming studio located in Coalpit Heath, Bristol.
